SUNSETS AND WATERFALLS

I saw a sunset it was sinking low
Thought I’d stop just to watch it go
I heard you laughing it was in my mind
And it took me back to those old times

We were both hippies kind of mellow too
I was the normal one oh wait Mark that was you
You with your camera and me with my guitar
Both of us wishing on a star

Now when I see a sunset or a waterfall
I see it as a picture you could have shone to us all
The beauty of this world was captured through your lens
And I consider myself lucky cause I had you as a friend

you had a magic for the world to see
and each of your photos showed your individuality
for those who got to know you knew you didn’t fool the trends
yeah you were the real thing right to the end

(chorus)

Maybe God had a reason maybe he had a plan
Maybe that’s why he needed just the right man
To pick the perfect sunsets for us down here to view
Cause when I see those colors Mark I’ll always think of you

(chorus)
